Daihatsu will continue manufacturing eco-friendly cars that are easily accessible, in response to the diverse needs of drivers, such as living in an eco-friendly way and driving a high fuel-efficiency car. 　At our booth, we presented concept cars that reflect our vision, and a road map for our future technical innovations as a technological exhibition. 　Based on the theme “Big Answer From Small,” we made a number of exhibits representing great changes in the future brought about by compact cars. 　The first is the novel sports car model D-X, which emphasizes the sheer joy of driving.

ALPINA will be displaying five cars in total, including 2 models making their World Premiere and 1 model making its Japan Premiere. WORLD PREMIERES BMW ALPINA B6 BiTurbo Coupe This is the world debut of ALPINA’s much anticipated new luxury coupe, the B6 BiTurbo. The vehicle is based on the new BMW 6-Series, itself praised as being the world’s most beautiful coupe. With an 8-speed gearbox, an abundance of torque, and a high-strength lightweight titanium exhaust system developed in conjunction with exhaust specialists Akrapovic, the new B6 offers aural excitement and unrivalled potency, providing a comfortable and engaging driving experience whether you are cruising or partaking in more spirited driving. The new B6 BiTurbo is also available as a cabriolet. BMW ALPINA B3S BiTurbo Coupe “Special Edition” To celebrate the ALPINA B6 GT3’s victory in the 2011 ADAC GT Masters Championship ALPINA are launching a new model based on the B3S Coupe. Production of this unique model is strictly limited to 30 examples. JAPAN PREMIERE BMW ALPINA B6 BiTurbo Cabrio Characterised by its elegant design language and superlative aerodynamic performance, the B6 BiTurbo Cabrio incorporates the signature technical features of the B6 BiTurbo Coupe in a stylish cabriolet body. Capable of completing the 0-100km/h sprint in just 4.8 seconds, and with the ability to travel on to a top speed of 311km/h, the B6 BiTurbo Cabrio combines supreme performance with excellent fuel efficiency to offer the highest levels of performance in its class. OTHER MODELS ON DISPLAY BMW ALPINA B5 BiTurbo Touring The B5 BiTurbo Touring is a uniquely individual model which is both functional and versatile, yet which also preserves the saloon models grace and air of sophistication. Featuring a perfectly poised chassis and equipped with 1,670 litres of highly practical luggage space, this highly accomplished model is capable of delivering speeds of 300km/h while maintaining the highest possible levels of safety and comfort. BMW ALPINA B7 BiTurbo Limousine Allrad (4WD) The ALPINA B7 BiTurbo offers unparalleled levels of performance while deftly combining a luxurious ambience with a highly sporting driving experience. To further increase traction and inspire supreme confidence in all driving conditions, with the B7 BiTurbo Allrad, ALPINA has mated the engine to BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system – the first application in the F01 7-Series of all-wheel-drive with an engine featuring such high levels of torque. Regardless of the road conditions the B7 BiTurbo Allrad ensures optimal safety and absolute driver enjoyment. Stand Concept The stand utilises the ALPINA corporate colours of blue and green to create a suitably refined space which accurately reflects the dynamic performance of the brand’s vehicles.

As 2011 marks the 50th year anniversary of the iconic E-type, regarded by many to be the most beautiful sports car in history, Jaguar displays 3 production models with the theme "Sports & Performance". The main attraction of the Jaguar stand is the new XKR-S, the fastest and most powerful production sports car Jaguar has ever built. It is a quintessential Jaguar sports car, balancing track and sport driving prowess with refinement during daily use. From the XF series, which underwent a bold styling update for the 2012 model year, the XFR bearing the Jaguar Performance Series "R" badge is displayed. And from Jaguar's flagship XJ series, the range topping XJ SUPERSPORT, which combines breathtaking performance with exceptional craftsmanship and exquisite details creating the ultimate expression of power and exclusivity, is displayed.

Land Rover

Land Rover holds a Japan premiere of the RANGE ROVER EVOQUE, a highly anticipated compact premium SUV which complements the Range Rover series. The RANGE ROVER EVOQUE breaks through the SUV category with bold and sophisticated design, while offering on and off road performance expected of a Range Rover through features like Terrain Response™. Also to be displayed is the RANGE ROVER EVOQUE COUPE, which is based on the 5 door styling but has a dynamic profile and contemporary aesthetic through a 30mm lower roof line. RANGE ROVER EVOQUE series have a lightweight Si4 all-aluminium turbocharged 2.0 litre petrol engine. The world renowned mid size SUV, 2012 model year DISCOVERY 4 is also displayed. With a stunning breadth of capability, it is the perfect combination of style and capability, equipped with seating for up to seven adults, four-corner air suspension and Land Rover’s unique Terrain Response™ as standard.

At the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011, Peugeot showcases its continuous innovations for a motorized society of the future. Cars exhibited are the RCZ that is Peugeot’s first compact sports coupe, the 508 flagship model that went on sale in July of this year, and the 3008 Hybrid4 (reference exhibit) that is being shown in Japan for the first time. The RCZ is a “2+2” coupe that purses dynamic driving. Its novel exterior design features a double bubble roof characterized by two protrusions on the roof. The 508 is the first mass production model to employ Peugeot’s new-generation design. At the same time, it is an important model central to Peugeot’s top range. The 3008 Hybrid4 reference exhibit being shown in Japan for the first time is the world’s first mass production full diesel hybrid, combining a diesel engine (2.0 liter HDi FAP/120 kW) and an electric motor (maximum output of 27 kW). It features a four-wheel drive and excellent environmental protection performance, achieving CO2 emissions of just 99 g/km. At the same time, this crossover model brings together excellent output control, modularity and a driving experience on a whole new dimension. Pursuing the utmost in driving pleasure, the 3008 Hybrid4 has set up four drive modes: ZEV, 4WD, Sports, and Auto.

At the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011, Citroen exhibits three models "DS3 Racing", "DS4", and "DS5." of "DS line" which is a symbol of a brand slogan "Creative Technology". "DS line" is a model line which represent of originality and innovation of Citroen by the bold concept. All DS line models appeal avant-garde but refined design, and serve as the origin not to mention pursuit of a premium and a sporty degree of comfort, and a dynamic driving performance. That concept is filled to the novelty which is not in the conventional car. "DS3 Racing" is the compact hot hatch which the Citroen racing tuned up based on DS3, and is a special limited model which makes conspicuous the innovation of DS3 which pursued the ideal as a sport model on a public road. "DS4" launched in September is the pleasantness of SUV with the atmosphere by which the sedan was refined, comfortable nature, and the high back, and "4 door coupe" united the elegant design of the coupe. A comfortable degree of comfort and dynamic drive are realized having a high eye point. And "DS5" the Japan premium is the 3rd phase of DS line with which the concept car "C sport lounge" serves as a base. The interior design which makes the cockpit of the form which the station wagon united with Gran Turismo and an airplane, is scheduling Japan market launch in the second half of next year as the French premium car.
