By reviewing and modifying every aspect of the IMPREZA's basic structure such as the third generation Horizontally-Opposed Boxer engine, the newly developed Lineartronic (CVT), the reduction of overall weight, and advances in aerodynamics, significant progress was made in the vehicle's environmental friendliness, most of all fuel efficiency.
