Parallel hybrid system
The parallel system mechanically connects everything from the engine to the tires to minimize power transmission loss. Coordinated control of the motor and engine enable gears to be optimized for even greater fuel efficiency. There are also signficant reductions in CO2, NOx and PM emissions.
