jp New CrossTouran Since its debut in 2004, the Golf Touran has held its position as the top imported seven-passenger compact minivan. The latest offspring of the Touran, the New CrossTouran makes its first appearance in Japan, bringing a fusion of off-road and sporty personalities. Higher road-clearance than the Golf Touran and fitted with large, 17R tires, oversized fenders, and exclusive bumpers, the New CrossTouran has sporty looks.

jp New Bulli Since its debut in 1950, the Volkswagen Microbus has been loved by many for its simple and yet functional design. The concept car New Bulli, a new compact van, brings back the legendary model but with modern updates. Equipped with an advanced electric drive system, the New Bulli is an electric vehicle that can be driven 300 km on a single charge. Inside, the New Bulli is furnished with bench seats and an information system that uses the iPad as display controller.  
jp The Beetle The ever so popular Beetle has been an icon of the Volkswagen brand. “The Beetle,” the latest and the third generation of the model, makes its first appearance in Japan at the Tokyo Motor Show following its global debut last spring. The Beetle is characterized by a low and wide exterior design that is a modern interpretation of the original Beetle as a tribute to the first model. The interior, while reminiscent of the original Beetle interior, boasts the latest layout based on ergonomics. The latest power train, with attention to environmental performance, achieves superior fuel consumption. The Beetle is scheduled to be introduced into Japan next year.  
jp The Beetle Fender The Beetle Fender, the only automobile equipped with a sound system developed by the U.S. guitar and amplifier manufacturer Fender, debuted in April 2011. The exterior is finished with a black paint that has the same luster and shine as does the Telecaster, the famed Fender guitar, and the dashboard, with its two-tone wood pattern, resembles a Fender guitar. Chrome or aluminum parts, 19-inch large aluminum wheels, and the rich music produced by the Fender sound system equipped with a vacuum tube amplifier clearly expresses the connection between The Beetle and rock music, the concept of The Beetle Fender.  
  Polo TSI Highline The Polo TSI Highline, introduced into the Japanese market in October 2009 as the most compact Volkswagen has grown into one of the volume leader along with the Golf. The Polo TSI Highline offers high safety performance that has been rated 5 stars by Euro NCAP5 and equally impressive, quality interior. In addition, the innovative 1.2 TSI engine and the 7-speed DSG have vastly improved the Polo's driving performance and fuel consumption. At 20 km/L, this Polo has the best 10/15 mode fuel consumption of all the past Volkswagen. The Japan Car of the Year named the Polo the Imported Car of the Year for 2010-2011, the Automotive Researchers’ & Journalists’ Conference of Japan named it the Annual RCJ Car of the Year (Import) for 2011, and the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame named it the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame Import Car of the Year for 2010-2011.  
  Golf TSI Highline The Golf TSI Highline was launched in 2009 as the upper grade model of the sixth-generation Golf. It sets a global standard in every respect, including interior and exterior design, quality, quietness, safety, and environmental performance. A highly efficient 1.4 TSI twin-charger engine is combined with a 7-speed DSG to achieve a high fuel consumption of 16.2 km/L. The Golf was awarded 4 stars for domestic exhaust emission standard reduction level, and became eligible for the eco car tax break in 2010. Being the best selling imported model for 8 consecutive years, the Golf can be chosen from 1.2 to 2.0 TSI engines, satisfying variety of customers’ needs for performance and fuel efficiency.  
  Golf Cabriolet The Golf Cabriolet returned to the Japanese market for the first time in approximately nine years this fall. The new Golf Cabriolet, developed based on the current Golf, uses a newly developed fully automatic electronic soft top that can be opened in just 9.5 seconds. Powered by the latest 1.4L twin-charger TSI engine (160 ps) linked to a 7-speed DSG, the Golf Cabriolet promises dynamic and exhilarating driving performance whether the top is up or down. Its five-star Euro NCAP rating in collision safety, commodiousness for four adults, and trunk capacity of 250L make the Golf Cabriolet a highly practical automobile as well.  
  Scirocco R Based on the third-generation Scirocco with innovative styling, high driving performance, and low fuel consumption, the Scirocco R was tuned to maximize its sports driving character. The Scirocco R made its debut in Japan in 2010. The Scirocco R is equipped with a 2.0 TSI engine that produces 256 ps, or approximately 20% more power than does the base Scirocco, special sports suspension, DCC adaptive chassis control (electronically controlled suspension), and XDS electronic transverse differential lock. With special parts on the interior and exterior, this is a model fit to be part of the R series family of the finest sports models.  
  Sharan TSI Highline Despite being a large minivan that seats seven adults comfortably, the Sharan TSI Highline achieves outstanding fuel consumption of 14.0 km per liter of gasoline (10/15 mode). The power train composed of an idling stop-equipped 1.4L TSI engine small enough for a compact car and a 6-speed DSG, makes for a powerful performance beyond expectation and a solid ride that you would expect from a German car. The Highline, an upper trim model, comes equipped standard with fine leather seats and convenient power tail gate in addition to the extensive basic equipment.

  New Tiguan Sport & Style Scheduled to be introduced into Japan this fall is the New Tiguan Sport & Style, a popular compact SUV, whose front design has been refined to the horizontal theme found on other latest Volkswagen models. The headlights house LED position lights and the L-shaped rear combination lights give the New Tiguan Sport & Style a more dashing look. The power train combines the 2.0 TSI engine, tuned to deliver 179 ps, and a 7-speed DSG. Volkswagen’s four-wheel drive system 4MOTION ensures secure and safe driving performance regardless of the terrain.  
  Touareg Hybrid The Touareg Hybrid is the first hybrid model from Volkswagen. The compact and simple parallel hybrid system combines a newly developed 3-liter V6 TSI engine with an electric motor. Compared to the predecessor fitted with an 8-cylinder engine, the Touareg Hybrid achieves more than double the fuel economy of 13.8 km/L (10/15 mode). Its styling is sporty and dynamic, and its front end features the same horizontal theme as other latest Volkswagen models. Inside, this latest Touareg features fine wood panels and leather seats, and the longer wheelbase improves riding comfort for rear seat passengers to ensure utmost comfort for everyone on board.
