Blu-Ray & DVD Release Commemorative Tokyo Waterfront Area Stamp Rally

The Tokyo Motor Show will take the opportunity of its move to Tokyo Big Sight to hold a stamp rally with the cooperation of the Rinkai Fukutoshin Machizukuri (Tokyo Waterfront Community Development) Council.
It will feature characters from the Disney animated feature film "Cars 2", popular with children and a wide range of age groups. This is a tie-up program with the Walt Disney Company (Japan) Ltd., commemorating the release of Cars 2 on Blu-Ray and DVD.

Objectives

The event will be held at the same time as the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011 in order to attract visitors, and draw them to Machizukuri Council member establishments and stores, helping vitalize the Tokyo waterfront area.

Stamp Rally Contents

Cars 2 original stamps will be placed in Machizukuri Council member establishments and stores. Rally challengers will visit these 16 stamp locations, including Yurikamome and Rinkai line stations and various establishments, stamping their stamp rally cards. Challengers who stamp their stamp rally cards with 4 stamps will receive commemorative clear folders. Challengers will also be able to try for a second prize via a slot game, with the number of chances they are given depending on the number of stamps they have collected. Winners will be given original Cars 2 merchandise.

* Prize exchange stations are planned for the Atrium in the Tokyo Motor Show venue, as well as in Aqua City Odaiba.

How to Participate in the Stamp Rally

(1) Obtain a stamp rally card

Stamp rally cards can be obtained at Yurikamome and Rinkai line stations and other facilities.

Collect 4 or more of the 16 stamps located at Machizukuri Council member establishments.

(3) Commemorative stamp rally prize

Participants who have collected four or more stamps can bring their stamp rally cards to the prize exchange station in the Tokyo Motor Show venue Atrium, or to the prize exchange station in Aqua City Odaiba. The first 10,000 will be given a prize for participation. (The stamp rally will continue through- out the show, even after all prizes have been given out))

(4) Additional chances

People bringing receipts for purchases of 1,000 yen or more in the designated stores can try their hands at the roulette slot game. For every 4 stamps, challengers can try one time, for a maximum total of 4. The total of 100 people will receive original Cars 2 merchandise.

A life-sized Lightning McQueen will be on display in the Tokyo Motor Show Atrium.

[Working and Rare Cars Exhibition] (Related event)

To mark the occasion of the Tokyo Motor Show’s return to Tokyo after 24 years, a “Working Cars and Trucks Exhibition” will be held by the Tokyo Rinkai Holdings Group, further enlivening the Tokyo waterfront area, as well as the motor show itself.
Japan has been struck by unprecedented natural disasters over the course of the year, from the Great East Japan Earthquake to massive typhoons. This event will feature vehicles which are used in response to large scale and day-to-day emergencies, supporting people's daily lives. It will also feature kit cars for visitors to enjoy viewing.

Odaiba Rainbow Fireworks 2011

The "Odaiba Rainbow Fireworks", held in 2007, will make its return to Odaiba. As this year's fireworks are planned to begin at 19:00 on Saturdays throughout December (December 3, December 10, December 17, and December 24), visitors to the Tokyo Motor Show will be able to enjoy the fireworks on December 3 and December 10.
