The 32th Tokyo Motor Show 1997

1997.10.24-11.5 (at Makuhari)

The theme of the 32nd Tokyo Motor Show was "One World. One People. One Show." Manufacturers were able to set up integrated display of passenger cars and commercial vehicles in each booth, thanks to added space at the North Hall. Displays of motorcycles and auto parts were consolidated into the North Hall. The second floor of the North Hall housed The Techno Gallery. Two-story exhibits became available in the halls thanks to eased display restrictions, which allowed exhibitors to present much more attractive displays. In the Theme Hall, a special display, "Cars in Movies," was provided. Visitors enjoyed the elaborate displays. Foreign carmakers presented mainstream vehicles such as the Maybach and Volkswagen W12. Exhibits of Japanese carmakers were centered on hybrid cars, including the Toyota Prius. Also, new models were on display, which will arrive at dealer showrooms in the near future.
